Section 21 Notice

With effect from Monday 1st October the requirement to serve different forms of the Section 21 dependent upon when the tenancy started and whether the tenancy was periodic or not changed, and going forward only the Form 6A should be used.

As per the Deregulation Act 2015 in order to serve Form 6A it’s essential that:

  • The property has an up to date gas safety certificate
  • Tenants have been provided with the 'How To Rent' guide
  • The EPC must have been completed (unless the property is exempt)
  • Tenants must have been provided with details of which scheme their deposit in protected by
  • If a licenced property a copy of the licence should be given to all tenants.
